Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Blink Runner ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile game on iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Blink Runner is designed to work with minimal data collection.

Summary: Blink Runner uses your device's front camera only on your device to detect when you blink. Your camera feed and face data are never recorded, stored, or transmitted to us or any third party, unless you explicitly choose to record and share gameplay footage yourself.

1. Information We Access

1.1 Camera (Front-Facing)

Blink Runner requires access to your device's front-facing camera. The camera feed is used solely to detect eye-blink gestures in real time, which serve as the primary control input for the game. Processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. We do not upload, stream, or store your camera feed on any server.

1.2 Photo Library (Optional)

If you choose to record your gameplay and save the resulting video, the App may request permission to save to your Photo Library. This is optional and controlled by you.

1.3 Local Game Data

The App stores your best score and basic game settings locally on your device. This data does not leave your device and is not associated with your identity.

1.4 Advertising

Blink Runner displays occasional interstitial advertisements provided by Unity Ads. Unity Ads may collect device-level information (such as device identifiers, IP address, operating system, and interaction with ads) to serve relevant advertising and measure ad performance. Please review Unity's privacy policy for details: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

3. How On-Device Face Detection Works

Blink Runner analyzes the live camera feed frame-by-frame using Apple's Vision framework, looking for the specific pattern of eye closure and re-opening that constitutes a blink. Only an abstract signal — "blink detected: yes/no" — is passed to the game logic. No images, face templates, or measurements leave the device, and no raw frames are saved.

4. Gameplay Recording & Sharing

The App includes a feature to record your gameplay, which can include a picture-in-picture overlay of your face from the front camera. Recordings are created only when you press the record button. Saving or sharing a recording is entirely your choice. Any content you choose to share on platforms such as Instagram or TikTok is governed by the privacy policies of those platforms.

5. Children's Privacy

Blink Runner is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Data Security

Because Blink Runner does not transmit personal data to our servers, your gameplay data remains on your device under the security protections provided by iOS. For advertising data handled by Unity Ads, please refer to Unity's security practices.

7. Your Rights & Choices

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services:

9. International Users

Blink Runner is available globally via the Apple App Store. Because we do not collect personal data on our own servers, no international transfer of personal data by us takes place. Third-party services such as Unity Ads may process data internationally in accordance with their own policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in the App's description on the App Store. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
